when i’m not working i love spending time with friends and family, crafting, cooking, exploring farmers markets, gardening, going on walks with my dog and sipping an iced latte while listening to music.

my approach

i work from an integrative framework. i incorporate person-centered therapy, relational cultural therapy and feminist therapy models. i utilize eye movement desensitizing and reprocessing (EMDR) in my therapeutic approach. i navigate from a lens that is social justice, trauma informed, relational and attachment focused.

who i work with

i typically work with individuals assigned female at birth (AFAB),non-binary, trans folx. i work with individuals 16+. i specialize in working with individuals who may be questioning their identity or wanting to work through distressing or traumatic memories or events.

how it works

i work collaboratively with my clients to work towards their goals. i believe that people know themselves best and know what they need to be their most authentic selves. we will come up with a treatment plan that is supportive of your goals and feels approachable.

credentials and education

i received my bachelors in psychology with a minor in neuroscience from warren wilson college in asheville, nc.

i received my masters in clinical mental health counseling from lenoir rhyne university in asheville, nc.

aug 2026 i start a phd program at university of north carolina charlotte in counselor education and supervision.

experience

upon graduating with my bachelors degree, i started working in community mental health at a non-profit in asheville. i began as a residential counselor in a level 3 group home. shortly after i was promoted to be a supervisor in a psychiatric residential treatment facility (prtf). after nearly 2 years in residential working with 11-17 year olds i transitioned to working in a day treatment setting with elementary students. i then transitioned to work in intensive in home while i completed my masters degree. during my internship and upon graduating i worked as a therapist in a residential assessment program. after some time i transitioned back into the community working in intensive in home services.
